Mithi Gobindram Public School (MGPS) observed World Forgiveness Day with a meaningful special assembly by grade IV C in supervision of Ms. Neha Vaswani, aimed at encouraging students to understand the importance of forgiveness, empathy and letting go.
The assembly highlighted that forgiveness is not about forgetting or accepting wrongdoing, but about choosing peace over resentment and kindness over anger. Through thoughtful presentations and engaging activities, students reflected on how a simple act of forgiveness can heal relationships, reduce negativity and create a more compassionate environment.
The students were encouraged to practise forgiveness in their everyday lives—by apologising when they are wrong, accepting sincere apologies and giving others an opportunity to learn from their mistakes.
The celebration beautifully conveyed the message that forgiveness is a strength that frees the heart and creates space for peace, understanding and happiness.
At MGPS, we believe that when children learn to forgive, they learn to build a kinder world.
